KANDI CHAMPAGNE COOK
I take pictures and make things. I was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and have made a happy life in Memphis, Tennessee with my husband of 15 years and our little dog, Rocket. I wanted to be a photographer when I was 8-years-old. I got my first camera when I was 10… I haven’t stopped since.
I spend my free time knitting, crocheting, painting, reading, practicing yoga, volunteering, cooking, playing the ukulele, being mischievous, working on or coming up with new projects (see below) and going on adventures. I work on the digital development team at a creative agency and recently went back to school.
I’ve had work printed in various publications on an international scale- from album art to books and magazines. I’ve shown work at a few exhibitions around the US, have a couple of permanent installations and I’ve won some awards.
While I enjoyed working as a freelance photographer over the past decade or so, at the moment I am not available for hire.
